FIJIFIRST leader Voreqe Bainimarama labelled The People’s Alliance party leader Sitiveni Rabuka “a flop” after Mr Rabuka said he could not read the PM’s mind or know his intentions.

Mr Bainimarama was referring to comments Mr Rabuka made at a joint news conference with the National Federation Party leader Professor Biman Prasad last week.

“He (Mr Rabuka) said that he can’t read my mind, that he doesn’t know what is happening in my mind, I said well he’s supposed to, he wants to be the PM and he can’t read my mind.

“He can’t read the Opposition’s mind,” the PM said.

“Well he is already a flop because I can read his mind. I know what he is after, I know what he wants.”

Mr Bainimarama said Mr Rabuka had always wanted command and leadership of the country from day one.

Referring to Mr Rabuka’s loss in the 1999 election, he said the PA leader kept returning to politics for the some reason.

“When he lost he wants to keep coming back and keeps fighting everyone so that he can come back with the leadership of this country.”

The FFP leader also claimed that Mr Rabuka tried to take control of the military twice while it was under his command and he labelled the PA leader “a snake”.

“I can read his mind, very simple, that’s why I call him a snake because twice he wanted to take over my command, I can read his mind,” Mr Bainimarama added.
